Cake by Design

Somehow my children end up getting more than one birthday cake for their birthday. We usually celebrate with family when they are in town, and of course we have to have another cake for the ACTUAL birthday. So, my son informed me that he had designed his own cake....so here is my attempt to duplicate his design....

Happy BirthdayS x4 !!!!

This is a cake for 4 cousins.....my two and our two cousins. We are celebrating all the cousins' birthdays while they are in town with us. All the kids birthdays are this summer. My little girl (almost 2) loves puppies, and my son is a baseball fan. Their little cousin wants to be a princess, and her brother is about to celebrate his 1st birthday!

Happy Birthday Jillian!

These are french vanilla cakes (striped purple and white on the inside), filled and coated with buttercream icing. Fondant flowers and butterflies...... Little smash cake for Jillian and 10" cake for everyone else!

The Sun Will Come out Tomorrow!

Avery is a huge Orphan Annie fan, so this cake was designed especially for her. Annie and Sandy the dog are gum paste and sit atop a tiny white cake and large chocolate fudge cake. Happy Birthday Avery!

Pretty in Pink

Happy Birthday London! These cakes were for precious little Miss London's very first birthday! Her mother did an AMAZING job decorating for the party....soft delicate shades of pink made a party a girl could only dream about! Here is a shot of the 3 tier cake, London's "smash cake" and pretty party decs!

Thank you pinkcakebox.com for your inspiration!

You Might Be a Texan If....

Thank you Jane for ordering this delicious birthday cake. This is a chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling covered in semi-sweet ganache. It is garnished with ganache frosting, fresh raspberries, and of course.....the Shiner beer bottle on top! Happy Birthday Chris!

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's DUPLI-CAKE!

I was flattered when Sonia wanted a duplicate of my previous "Super-Hero" cake as a birthday cake for her husband. She creatively changed the top to a message: "You Will Always Be Our Super-Hero!" Thanks Sonia!

Top and Bottom layers: chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and raspberry fillings
Middle Layer: Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and raspberry filling.

Blue Bird, Blue Bird

Happy Birthday/Halloween

This spider cake is the large birthday cake for three sisters' birthday party. Each little girl also gets her own mini cake decorated in theme. The spider on top of the large cake is a small cake itself with black licorice legs! The cake was vanilla but was orange and white striped inside!

Old MacDonald rode a John Deere

This is a second birthday cake for a little boy who dearly treasured his toy tractors.....in fact I stole on to put in top.
